April 7, 2007 Fontana, CA - April 7th marked the season opener for Formula Drift in Long Beach, CA.  Falken Tire kept all things drift interesting for 2007 by introducing 2 new campaign girls, a 3rd state of the art 53ft. motorsports rig, and added a pair of world class drivers, Mitsuru Haruguchi and Darren McNamara.  The addition of Haruguchi and McNamara to the Falken Tire Drift Team will further strengthen the team and add some additional international flavor this year. 

Ready to take the U.S. by storm, Mitsuru Haruguchi stunned the capacity crowd by posting a 1st place finish in the Intec Racing built, Falken Nissan S13. Vaughn Gittin Jr. secured 4th place overall giving Falken team two of the top four positions going into Road Atlanta for Formula D Round 2. Although Haruguchi may be new to the Formula D podium, Falken and specifically the Falken’s Azenis RT-615’s are not. The RT-615 continues to prove itself as the ultimate road going competition tire in its class.
